Allow us to introduce ourselves.  We are Bill and Julie Raphael, and we are the owners of Prestige Outdoor Lighting. We have been in business since 2009 and operate out of our home in Shallotte.  
As an electrical engineer with nearly 30 years experience designing military grade electronics, Bill knows what it takes to create material capable of standing up to extreme environments. The coastal area we live in is very harsh on many of the common materials that lighting systems are made of, which is why we recommend fixtures made of copper, brass and bronze as opposed to fixtures made of plastic and aluminum. In the interest of durability, we steer my clients toward long lasting stainless steel transformers over painted steel transformers.
As a manager of several dental and orthodontic practices throughout the years, Julie knows what it takes to treat our customers with the service and respect they deserve. We demonstrate this right from the beginning.
We know that every customer is different and so are their properties. Some may want the architecture of their home highlighted, while others would like to focus the lighting on accentuating the landscape features. We also know that most people don’t know exactly what they want, but they want their property to look as beautiful at night as it is during the day. The design process starts with us meeting you in the evening to see the property and discuss your thoughts and desires. We then use a combination of lights and photography to create different lighting scenes, or combinations of them. We can sit down at your kitchen table and turn lights on and off, allowing you to be an integral part of the design process. Once the final design is established, we produce a composite picture of the final project. At this time, you will know exactly what your home and property will look like at night. We will ask for a deposit, provide you with a copy of the composite picture and schedule the installation.
